A lovely one from our archives - Happy Anniversary to Eilidh & Arran!

Did you know we have been hosting Weddings at Civic House since 2017?!

You might notice some slight differences in our venue details in these pics. We saw some big physical changes to Civic House in 2021, undergoing an extensive PassivHaus retrofit project – reducing our energy demand and generating electricity via solar panels to become one of Scotland’s first post-industrial spaces to become energy positive. Despite the building changes over the years, our Wedding offering has remained the same - Whilst Civic House gives you the creative freedom to make your celebration your own, it’s never just an empty room. Thoughtful furnishings, lighting options, a flexible bar, and seamless logistics are all part of the package.

As Eilidh + Arran put it:

This weekend, we’re excited to welcome back the incredible photographer Caro Weiss — returning to Civic House exactly six years to the weekend since she last captured a wedding here. The images from that 2019 wedding are still some of our favourites, full of warmth, energy, and beautifully unposed moments.

Seeing her return feels like a full-circle moment — a reminder that this venue holds memories, not just events. Civic House isn’t just a backdrop; it becomes part of the story.
