Formerly a print works in the 1920s, Civic House is set over two levels and offers a stripped-back simplicity where textures and muted colours create a modern, industrial feel.

Civic House is a beautiful, contemporary venue for your wedding!

The ground floor of Civic House has terrazzo and concrete floors and a styled kitchen/lounge bar area, set against exposed brick and clean white walls. The first floor offers a real sense of the ‘wow factor’ with a distinctive herringbone parquet floor, exposed roof beams and fantastic views across Glasgow. 

Both spaces are flooded in natural light and flexible to accommodate a variety of styles that work beautifully for both large celebrations and more intimate affairs.

  • Civic House is the perfect backdrop for you to put a creative stamp on your day! With the support of our team, design a celebration that’s as unique as you are.

  • Furniture: We have a curated collection of lounge furniture, Persian rugs, decorative lighting, candle holders, vases & plants - all at your disposal if required. Dining tables and chairs are provided for all guests and we’re happy to discuss specific requests and upgrades.

    Outdoor area: Located opposite Civic House, our decked outdoor space offers a relaxed setting for couple’s photos, if the Glasgow weather behaves!

    Sound system: Speakers available for ceremony music and background music in bar and during dinner. Mic available on request for speeches.

    Kitchen facilities: Your chosen caterer has access to a canteen style open plan kitchen.

  • On-the-day wedding coordinator & team of staff: Our team have over 15 years experience planning and delivering weddings in a variety of spaces. We’ll work with you to develop your plans in advance and be present throughout the set-up and on the day itself to ensure the smooth flow of your day.

    Humanist & civil ceremonies: Use the registrar or humanist of your choice to officiate your wedding ceremony.

  • B.O.Y caterers: Our recommended caterers know the space, how it works and can provide you and your guests with the best service and culinary delights. However we’re delighted to consult with any catering team of your choice. Outdoor space is also available and is ideal for food trucks.

    Late licensed, fully serviced bar: We can run a licensed bar until 1am, well stocked with spirits, craft beers, wines and cocktails. Bar service and drinks packages are provided exclusively by Eventful Spaces. Drinks packages available on request.

  • Pre-wedding access. You and your suppliers can access the venue the day before your wedding. Just let us know your plans and requirements, and our venue team can work with you for a smooth set-up. Full day access is from 9am. Unfortunately, we’re currently only able to provide disabled access to the ground floor.
